The Piedmont Community Charter Patriots basketball squad (Gastonia, NC), was crushed 54-13 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC)

With the victory, Jackson Day advances its record to 19-4 on the season. The Mariners travel to Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy (Mooresboro, NC) to battle the Gryphons in a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A contest on Wednesday, February 18. The Gryphons come into the contest with a record of 19-4. Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy won 68-9 in their recent non-league contest against Carolina International (Concord, NC)
