Connecticut High School Ice Hockey - Xavier held off by Northwest Catholic
February 19, 2022: West Hartford, CT 06117 In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Northwest Catholic Lions (West Hartford, CT) ice hockey team nudged the visiting Xavier Falcons (Middletown, CT), by a margin of 5-4.
The Lions now possess a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wethersfield for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 23. Northwest Catholic will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 3-2 league win over Eastern CT Eagles (Groton, CT). The Eagles record now stands at 13-3.
The Falcons (11-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Notre Dame Catholic (Fairfield, CT). The Lancers enter the Southern Connecticut - DI challenge with a 1-11 record. In their last challenge, Notre Dame Catholic was edged by New Canaan (New Canaan, CT), 4-2, in a non-league challenge.
