Virginia High School Basketball - Flint Hill edges Saint John Paul the Great Catholic
February 2, 2024: Oakton, VA 22124 The Flint Hill Huskies (Oakton, VA) basketball nipped the visiting Saint John Paul the Great Catholic Wolves (Dumfries, VA), 86-84 in Friday's league test.
The Huskies (12-8) will now prepare for their test against St. James (Hagerstown, MD). The Saints go into the non-league test with a 5-15 record. In their last test, St. James was tipped by Episcopal (Alexandria, VA), 82-71, in a non-league test.
The Wolves now own a 6-13 record. They play next when they host Bishop Ireton for a VISAA Division I contest on Tuesday, February 6. Saint John Paul the Great Catholic will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 63-61 league loss to St. John's (Washington, DC). The Cardinals record now stands at 13-7.
