The Wilde Lake Wildecats basketball team (Columbia, MD), dropped 61-50 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Atholton Raiders (Columbia, MD)
The Raiders now sport a 19-2 record.
The Wildecats (17-6) will now prepare for their battle against Centennial (Ellicott City, MD). The Eagles come into the Howard County battle with a 13-9 record. In their last battle, Centennial dropped by Hammond (Columbia, MD), 62-58, in a league battle.
Down 32-24 at the half the Raiders rallied behind their big men and caught Wilde Lake at the end of the 3rd quarter and then pulled away for a 61-50 win to secure the Howard County championship on Wilde Lakes home court. Justin Oates led the Raiders with 15 points and 8 rebounds (including 7-7 from the field). Jordan Oates had 9 points and 10 rebounds and Casey Parkins had 15 points and 5 assists.
