California High School Softball - Serra holds off Notre Dame Academy
February 23, 2019: Gardena, CA 90249 Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Serra Cavaliers (Gardena, CA) and the visiting Notre Dame Academy Regal Gryphons (Los Angeles, CA), witnessed Serra's softball squad tip Notre Dame Academy by a count of 7-5.
The Cavaliers now sport a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Fairfax for a non-league match on Monday, February 25. Serra will face a Lions squad coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Cleveland (Reseda, CA). The Lions record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Notre Dame Academy moves to 1-2 on the season. The Regal gryphons travel to Culver City (Culver City, CA) to face the Centaurs in a non-league match on Wednesday, February 27. The Centaurs go into the match with a record of 3-1. Culver City won 17-0 in their recent non-league match against Palisades (Pacific Palisades, CA)
