South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) supporters went home thrilled Tuesday as they saw their basketball team tip the host Chambers Cougars (Charlotte, NC), 65-61 in a non-league contest.

The Sabres (13-15) will now prepare for their contest against Hough (Cornelius, NC). The Huskies enter the non-league match with a 20-6 record. In their last match, Hough got by South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC), 54-48, in a non-league match.

The Cougars now sport a 15-12 record.
