Forest Wildcats (Ocala, FL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Crystal River Pirates (Crystal River, FL), 15-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gainesville for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 1. Forest will battle a Hurricanes squad coming off a 7-3 non-league win over Williston (Williston, FL). The Hurricanes record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Crystal River falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Hernando (Brooksville, FL) to battle the Leopards in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 26. The Leopards enter the challenge with a record of 4-0. Hernando won 6-5 in their recent league challenge against Wesley Chapel (Wesley Chapel, FL)
