In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Eastern Alamance Eagles basketball team scored a good 73-63 win over the South Brunswick Cougars.

The Eagles (20-6) will now prepare for their contest against Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, NC). The Rams enter the non-league match with a 19-9 record. In their last match, Northeast Guilford notched a victory over Croatan (Newport, NC), 62-43, in a non-league match.

The Cougars now own a 16-9 record.
