In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Northwest Cabarrus Trojans basketball squad scored a decisive 63-32 victory over the Smoky Mountain Mustangs.

With the victory, Northwest Cabarrus advances its record to 24-4 on the year. The Trojans travel to Franklin (Franklin, NC) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Saturday, February 28. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 17-12. Franklin won 45-40 in their recent non-league match against Hickory (Hickory, NC)

The Mustangs now own a 14-13 record.
