Utah High School Basketball - Jordan succumbs to Lehi
February 28, 2022: Sandy, UT 84070 The Lehi Pioneers topped the host Jordan Beetdiggers basketball team by a final score of 60-46 in Monday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Pioneers face the Highland Rams (Salt Lake City, UT) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, March 2. Lehi will attempt to move on its 23-4 season record. The Rams enter the game with a 18-3 record after their 59-46 non-league win over Timpview (Provo, UT).
With the defeat, Jordan moves to 15-11 on the year.
First Quarter
Jamisyn Heaton made 2 three-point shots in the first quarter to lead Lehi to a 13 to 7 advantage as the period ended. Sammi love also hit a three and Maci Wall also scored for the Pioneers.
Second Quarter
Addy Scrivner and Hadlie Warren each had 1 three pointer in the second quarter. Lehi had a 15 point second quarter and Jordan score 12. The score at the end of the first half is Lehi 28 and Jordan 19.
Third Quarter
Jordan quickly erased the Lehi lead and outscored The PIoneers 18 to 5 in the third quarter. Lehi managed only 1 basket and 3 foul shots all by Maci Wall. The score at the end of the third quarter is Jordan 37 and Lehi 33.
Fourth Quarter
The game completely turned around as Lehi scored 27 points in the final period and held Jordan to just 9. Five different players scored for the Pioneers in the quarter. Jamisyn Heaton led the way with 10 points hitting 2 three's. Lehi shot 8 for 9 from the foul line in the period.
