In Saturday's non-league game, the host Floresville Tigers/Jaguars baseball team scored a close 5-1 triumph over the Poth Pirates.

With the triumph, Floresville advances its record to 6-3 on the season. The Tigers/Jaguars travel to Jourdanton (Jourdanton, TX) to battle the Indians/Squaws in a non-league match on Thursday, March 5. The Indians/Squaws come into the match with a record of 10-3. Jourdanton lost 8-5 in their recent non-league match against Uvalde (Uvalde, TX)
