Michigan High School Basketball - Ellsworth nips Johannesburg-Lewiston
February 3, 2020: Ellsworth, MI 49729 Ellsworth Lancers (Ellsworth, MI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals (Johannesburg, MI), 68-62 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Ellsworth upgrades its record to 10-1 on the season. The Lancers host Vanderbilt (Vanderbilt, MI) to play the Yellojackets in a Northern Lakes bout on Wednesday, February 5. The Yellojackets go into the bout with a record of 0-10. Vanderbilt lost 67-31 in their recent league match against Harbor Light Christian (Harbor Springs, MI)
With the defeat, Johannesburg-Lewiston moves to 5-6 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Mancelona (Mancelona, MI) to meet the Ironmen in a Ski-Valley match on Friday, February 7. The Ironmen enter the match with a record of 9-3. Mancelona lost 55-54 in their recent league match against St. Mary Cathedral (Gaylord, MI)
