The Gothenburg Swedes basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the visiting Minden Whippets to 43 in the Swedes non-league victory on Saturday.

The Swedes now sport a 15-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ogallala for a C1 District 11 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Gothenburg will battle a Indians team coming off a 57-48 non-league loss to Broken Bow (Broken Bow, NE). The Indians record now stands at 10-9.

The Whippets (15-3) will now prepare for their contest against Adams Central (Hastings, NE). The Patriots come into the non-league contest with a 17-3 record. In their last contest, Adams Central edged Holdrege (Holdrege, NE), 49-43, in a non-league contest.
