Pettus Eagles (Pettus, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Three Rivers Bulldogs (Three Rivers, TX), 45-40 in a league match.

With the victory, Pettus upgrades its record to 12-17 on the year. The Eagles host Kenedy (Kenedy, TX) to confront the Lions in a 2A Region IV District 31 contest on Friday, February 6. The Lions go into the contest with a record of 2-19. Kenedy lost 54-33 in their recent league contest against Skidmore-Tynan (Skidmore, TX)

In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the Woodsboro Eagles (Woodsboro, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 31 contest, on Friday, February 6. Three Rivers will attempt to upgrade on its 9-20 season record. The Eagles enter the outing with a 4-24 record after their 65-27 league loss to Refugio (Refugio, TX).
