In Friday's league match, the host Tri-Cities Bulldogs basketball team scored a decisive 75-51 triumph over the Banneker Trojans.

In their next game, the Bulldogs meet the Forest Park Panthers (Forest Park, GA) in a AAAAA Region 3 match, on Tuesday, February 8. Tri-Cities will attempt to move on its 15-5 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 2-19 record after their 60-54 league loss to Mundy's Mill (Jonesboro, GA).

With the defeat, Banneker moves to 3-17 on the year. The Trojans host Jonesboro (Jonesboro, GA) to meet the Cardinals in a AAAAA Region 3 match on Saturday, February 5.
