West Monona Spartans (Onawa, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Westwood Rebels (Sloan, IA), 58-45 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, West Monona upgrades its record to 10-9 on the campaign. The Spartans host Missouri Valley (Missouri Valley, IA) to play the Big Reds in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 8. The Big Reds come into the bout with a record of 2-15. Missouri Valley lost 67-43 in their recent league bout against Underwood (Underwood, IA)
