In Wednesday's league contest, the host Meridian Trojans basketball team scored a close 45-42 triumph over the Sedro-Woolley Cubs.

The Trojans (13-6) will now prepare for their contest against Bellingham (Bellingham, WA). The Bayhawks go into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest with a 5-12 record. In their last contest, Bellingham was tipped by La Conner (La Conner, WA), 42-36, in a non-league contest.
