The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Eastern Alamance Eagles (Mebane, NC) and the host Southern Alamance Patriots (Graham, NC), observed Eastern Alamance's basketball team knock off Southern Alamance by a score of 77-63.

The Eagles (13-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Williams (Burlington, NC). The Bulldogs come into the Mid-Carolina 4A/5A/6A challenge with a 14-3 record. In their last challenge, Williams prevailed over Graham (Graham, NC), 63-37, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Patriots encounter the Person Rockets (Roxboro, NC) in a Mid-Carolina 4A/5A/6A challenge, on Friday, February 6. Southern Alamance will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 66-49 league loss to Eastern Alamance (Mebane, NC).
