The Mingus Marauders basketball squad (Cottonwood, AZ), was crushed 66-29 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Estrella Foothills Wolves (Goodyear, AZ)

With the victory, Estrella Foothills advances its record to 21-7 on the year. The Wolves host Cactus (Glendale, AZ) to meet the Cobras in a 4A West Valley battle on Tuesday, February 10. The Cobras enter the battle with a record of 2-17. Cactus won 34-21 in their recent league battle against Peoria (Peoria, AZ)

In their next game, the Marauders battle the Prescott Badgers (Prescott, AZ) in a 4A Grand Canyon challenge, on Monday, February 9. Mingus will attempt to improve on its 15-9 season record. The Badgers come into the challenge with a 24-3 record after their 46-36 league win over Flagstaff (Flagstaff, AZ).
