Arizona High School Basketball - Cactus Shadows nips St. Mary's

In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Cactus Shadows Falcons basketball team scored a close 59-55 triumph over the St. Mary's Knights.

The Falcons (18-7) will now prepare for their contest against Mesquite (Gilbert, AZ). The Wildcats go into the 4A Desert Sky contest with a 24-1 record. In their last contest, Mesquite nipped Arcadia (Phoenix, AZ), 111-8, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Knights battle the Metro Tech Knights (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Friday, February 7. St. Mary's will attempt to better on its 6-12 season record. The Knights go into the contest with a 5-17 record after their 52-43 non-league win over La Joya Community (Avondale, AZ).
