In Monday's non-league outing, the Roncalli Cavaliers (Aberdeen, SD) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Groton Tigers (Groton, SD), by a count of 50-24.

The Cavaliers (16-1) will now prepare for their outing against Britton-Hecla (Britton, SD). The Braves go into the B Region 1 match with a 7-6 record. In their last match, Britton-Hecla crushed Milbank (Milbank, SD), 43-37, in a non-league match.

With the defeat, Groton moves to 8-7 on the year. The Tigers host Tiospa Zina (Agency Village, SD) to meet the Wambdi in a A Region 1 match on Tuesday, February 8. The Wambdi enter the match with a record of 2-16. Tiospa Zina lost 65-52 in their recent non-league match against Dell Rapids (Dell Rapids, SD)
