Johnston Speedboys (Bessemer, MI) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Chassell Panthers (Chassell, MI), 70-58 in a league match.

With the victory, Johnston upgrades its record to 8-6 on the year. The Speedboys host Ontonagon (Ontonagon, MI) to face the Gladiators in a non-league match on Saturday, February 15. The Gladiators enter the match with a record of 7-9.

The Panthers now sport a 3-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Stephenson for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. Chassell will face a Eagles squad coming off a 92-62 non-league win over Carney-Nadeau (Carney, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 12-6.
