In Friday's non-league contest, the host Southington Blue Knights basketball team scored a big 63-42 triumph over the Newington Nor'easters.

The Blue Knights (17-1) will now prepare for their contest against Plainville (Plainville, CT). The Blue Devils go into the non-league contest with a 12-4 record.

In their next game, the Nor'easters battle the Rocky Hill Terriers (Rocky Hill, CT) in a Central Connecticut - North Colonial contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Newington will attempt to better on its 11-7 season record. The Terriers go into the contest with a 13-4 record after their 56-52 league win over New Britain (New Britain, CT).
