In Monday's league outing, the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) basketball squad felled the visiting North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC), by a margin of 62-51.

The Golden Eagles (3-5) will now prepare for their outing against North Forsyth (Winston-Salem, NC). The Vikings go into the Western Piedmont 2A outing with a 2-5 record. In their last outing, North Forsyth was beaten by Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC), 67-25, in a league outing.
