California High School Baseball - Valley Christian sneaks past South Gate

Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Valley Christian Defenders (Cerritos, CA) and the visiting South Gate Rams (South Gate, CA), observed Valley Christian's baseball squad nip South Gate by a final score of 10-9.

With the triumph, Valley Christian moves its record to 3-3 on the season. The Defenders host Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, CA) to confront the Knights in a non-league contest on Monday, March 16. The Knights come into the contest with a record of 4-4. Bishop Montgomery won 9-0 in their recent league contest against Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary (Montebello, CA)

The Rams now possess a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South East for a Eastern contest on Wednesday, March 18. South Gate will face a Jaguars team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Sylmar (Sylmar, CA). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-5.
