Virginia High School Softball - Matoaca bounces Varina
March 15, 2022: Chesterfield, VA 23838 Matoaca Warriors (Chesterfield, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Varina Blue Devils (Richmond, VA), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Warriors now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Atlee for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 16. Matoaca will battle a Raiders squad coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Godwin (Richmond, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Varina falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Patrick Henry (Ashland, VA) to battle the Patriots in a Capital challenge on Monday, March 21. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Patrick Henry lost 14-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Deep Run (Glen Allen, VA)
