March 20, 2025: Birmingham, AL 35242 The Oak Mountain Eagles (Birmingham, AL) baseball got by the visiting Benjamin Russell Wildcats (Alexander City, AL), 5-4 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
The Eagles now own a 10-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Leeds for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 28. Oak Mountain will clash with a Greenwave team coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Briarwood Christian (Birmingham, AL). The Greenwave record now stands at 16-5.
With the defeat, Benjamin Russell drops to 6-9 on the year. The Wildcats host Homewood (Homewood, AL) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 22. The Patriots go into the challenge with a record of 18-3. Homewood won 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against John Carroll Catholic (Birmingham, AL)
