In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Houston County Fighting Irish baseball team scored a close 7-6 win over the Northwest Vikings.

The Fighting Irish (2-5) will now prepare for their game against Hickman County (Centerville, TN). The Bulldogs go into the non-league game with a 4-4 record. In their last game, Hickman County nudged Cornersville (Cornersville, TN), 6-1, in a non-league game.

Next, the Vikings play the East Robertson Indians (Cross Plains, TN) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 21. Northwest will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Indians go into the game with a 5-2 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Liberty Creek (Gallatin, TN).
