North Carolina High School Lacrosse - Independence drops to Porter Ridge

March 22, 2023: Charlotte, NC 28227

Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) followers exited the stadium content Wednesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad top the host Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), 17-3 in a non-league battle.

The Pirates now have a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cuthbertson for a Southern Carolina/Rocky River battle on Friday, March 24. Porter Ridge will clash with a Cavaliers squad coming off a 23-7 league loss to Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 4-1.

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Myers Park Mustangs (Charlotte, NC) in a Southwestern/So Meck battle, on Thursday, March 23. Independence will attempt to move on its 0-8 season record. The Mustangs come into the battle with a 7-0 record after their 24-10 league win over South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC).
