Wisconsin High School Softball - Hayward bounces Drummond
March 25, 2023: Hayward, WI 54843 Hayward Hurricanes (Hayward, WI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Drummond Lumberjacks (Drummond, WI), 10-6 in a non-league challenge.
The Hurricanes now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Medford for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 25. Hayward will face a Raiders squad coming off a 9-4 non-league win over Wausau West (Wausau, WI). The Raiders record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Drummond falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Hurley (Hurley, WI) to face the Northstars in a Iandianhead challenge on Thursday, April 6. The Northstars enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Hurley lost 12-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Wittenberg-Birnamwood (Wittenberg, WI)
