North Carolina High School Lacrosse - New Hanover nips Ashley

March 27, 2025: Wilmington, NC 28401

The New Hanover Wildcats lacrosse squad scored 12 points and limited the visiting Ashley Screaming Eagle to 11 in the Wildcats league triumph on Thursday.

The Wildcats now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Laney for a Mideastern challenge on Tuesday, April 1. New Hanover will clash with a Buccaneers squad coming off a 16-5 league loss to Hoggard (Wilmington, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Ashley falls to 2-3 on the year. The Screaming eagle host Holly Springs (Holly Springs, NC) to clash with the Golden Hawks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 29. The Golden Hawks go into the challenge with a record of 10-1. Holly Springs won 19-5 in their recent league challenge against Panther Creek (Cary, NC)
