Big Sandy Wildcats (Big Sandy, TX) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting Fruitvale Bobcats (Fruitvale, TX), 13-12 in a league match.

With the triumph, Big Sandy advances its record to 5-5 on the season. The Wildcats host Yantis (Yantis, TX) to battle the Owls in a 2A Region III District 18 match on Tuesday, March 31. The Owls come into the match with a record of 1-7. Yantis lost 12-0 in their recent league test against Como-Pickton (Como, TX)

With the defeat, Fruitvale drops to 4-5 on the year. The Bobcats travel to Alba-Golden (Alba, TX) to play the Panthers in a 2A Region III District 18 test on Tuesday, March 31.
