The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Matanzas Pirates (Palm Coast, FL) and the visiting St. Joseph Academy Fighting Flashes (St. Augustine, FL), observed Matanzas's softball team prevail over St. Joseph Academy by a tally of 12-2.

The Pirates (7-3) will now prepare for their bout against Providence School (Jacksonville, FL). The Stallions go into the non-league contest with a 1-9 record.

The Fighting Flashes now hold a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Peniel Baptist Academy for a 2A District 4 contest on Monday, March 30. St. Joseph Academy will face a Warriors squad coming off a 11-5 non-league win over Interlachen (Interlachen, FL). The Warriors record now stands at 6-5.
