North Carolina High School Lacrosse - Independence drops to Providence
March 30, 2022: Charlotte, NC 28227 Providence Panthers (Charlotte, NC) boosters exited the stadium content Wednesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad top the host Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC), 19-6 in a league battle.
The Panthers now own a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Mecklenburg for a Southwestern/So Meck battle on Thursday, March 31. Providence will battle a Sabres team coming off a 16-8 non-league win over Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC). The Sabres record now stands at 6-6.
With the defeat, Independence drops to 3-9 on the season. The Patriots host Catawba Ridge (Fort Mill, SC) to battle the Copperheads in a non-league outing on Thursday, March 31. The Copperheads go into the outing with a record of 5-5. Catawba Ridge lost 15-12 in their recent non-league outing against South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC)
