Texas High School Softball - Anthony bounces Austin

March 6, 2026: El Paso, TX 79930

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Anthony Wildcats softball team scored a nice 36-13 win over the Austin Panthers.

The Wildcats (8-6) will now prepare for their match against Alpine (Alpine, TX). The Bucks enter the 3A Region I District 4 game with a 5-11 record. In their last game, Alpine was routed by Midland Legacy (Midland, TX), 3-1, in a non-league game.

The Panthers now own a 5-14 record. They play next when they travel to Ysleta for a 4A Region I District 1 battle on Friday, March 13. Austin will confront a Indians team coming off a 17-1 non-league loss to Organ Mountain (Las Cruces, NM). The Indians record now stands at 8-13.
