Texas High School Baseball - Sanford-Fritch holds off Friona
March 8, 2022: Friona, TX 79035 Sanford-Fritch Eagles (Fritch, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Friona Chieftans (Friona, TX), 11-7 in a non-league test.
With the win, Sanford-Fritch upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Eagles travel to Booker (Booker, TX) to battle the Kiowas in a 2A Region I District 1 test on Tuesday, March 22. The Kiowas come into the test with a record of 1-1.
With the defeat, Friona falls to 1-2 on the season. The Chieftans travel to Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX) to battle the Mules in a non-league test on Saturday, March 12. The Mules come into the test with a record of 2-5. Muleshoe lost 17-5 in their recent non-league test against Tulia (Tulia, TX)
