The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Skyline Coyotes (Mesa, AZ) and the host Valley Vista Monsoon (Surprise, AZ), saw Skyline's baseball team beat Valley Vista by a margin of 8-3.

The Coyotes (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Westwood (Mesa, AZ). The Warriors enter the 6A East Valley battle with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Westwood got by Shadow Ridge (Surprise, AZ), 12-4, in a non-league contest.

The Monsoon now possess a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mountain Ridge for a non-league contest on Thursday, March 12. Valley Vista will confront a Mountain Lions squad coming off a 9-0 non-league win over Gila Ridge (Yuma, AZ). The Mountain Lions record now stands at 3-5.
