In Friday's non-league bout, the Quaker Valley Quakers (Leetsdale, PA) baseball squad the host New Brighton Lions (New Brighton, PA), by a score of 9-7.

Next up, the Quakers encounter the Ellwood City Wolverine (Ellwood City, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 1 bout, on Monday, April 13. Quaker Valley will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record. The Wolverine enter the bout with a 8-1 record after their 9-4 non-league win over Peters Township (McMurray, PA).
