The Monticello Mustangs softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Albemarle Patriots to 0 in the Mustangs league win on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now possess a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Goochland for a Jefferson battle on Thursday, April 16. Monticello will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 13-1 league loss to Louisa County (Mineral, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-6.

With the loss, Albemarle moves to 0-4 on the season. The Patriots host Orange County (Orange, VA) to confront the Hornets in a Jefferson battle on Thursday, April 16. The Hornets come into the battle with a record of 6-3. Orange County lost 7-3 in their recent league battle against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA)
