Illinois High School Soccer - Centralia held off by Anna-Jonesboro
April 16, 2022: Centralia, IL 62801 The Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats held off the host Centralia Orphans soccer squad by a margin of 3-2 in Saturday's non-league match.
The Wildcats now sport a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Harrisburg for a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Mississippi match on Tuesday, April 19. Anna-Jonesboro will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 10-3 league win over DuQuoin (DuQuoin, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Centralia drops to 1-8 on the season. The Orphans travel to Althoff Catholic (Belleville, IL) to clash with the Crusaders in a South Seven game on Monday, April 18. The Crusaders go into the game with a record of 11-5. Althoff Catholic lost 2-0 in their recent non-league game against Triad (Troy, IL)
