Kentucky High School Softball - Lincoln County bounces Woodford County
April 16, 2022: Versailles, KY 40383 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Lincoln County Panthers (Hamlin, WV) and the host Woodford County Yellowjackets (Versailles, KY), saw Lincoln County's softball squad nip Woodford County by a count of 8-4.
The Panthers now sport a 12-2 record. They take the field next when they host Sherman for a non-league match on Monday, April 18. Lincoln County will face a Tide squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over James Monroe (Lindside, WV). The Tide record now stands at 11-4.
With the loss, Woodford County falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Collins (Shelbyville, KY) to face the Titans in a District 30 match on Tuesday, April 19. The Titans enter the match with a record of 6-3. Collins won 15-2 in their recent non-league match against Pleasure Ridge Park (Louisville, KY)
