Windham Whippets (Willimantic, CT) fans left the game pleased Thursday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Parish Hill Pirates (Chaplin, CT), 9-6 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Windham advances its record to 1-5 on the season. The Whippets travel to Putnam (Putnam, CT) to battle the Clippers in a Eastern Connecticut - Division IV match on Saturday, April 18. The Clippers come into the match with a record of 4-3. Putnam lost 7-6 in their recent league match against Plainfield (Central Village, CT)

The Pirates now have a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host University for a non-league match on Monday, April 20.
