Midway Panthers (Waco, TX) fans left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Hendrickson Hawks (Pflugerville, TX), 8-6 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Midway advances its record to 19-7 on the season. The Panthers host Copperas Cove (Copperas Cove, TX) to battle the Bulldawgs in a 6A Region II District 12 match on Tuesday, April 21. The Bulldawgs come into the match with a record of 18-16. Copperas Cove lost 13-0 in their recent league match against Midway (Waco, TX)

The Hawks now have a 17-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host East View for a 5A Region III District 23 match on Tuesday, April 21. Hendrickson will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 12-1 league win over Elgin (Elgin, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 16-10.
