Washington High School Softball - South Whidbey bounces Orcas Island
April 18, 2026: Langley, WA 98260 The South Whidbey Falcons softball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Orcas Island Vikings to 7 in the Falcons non-league win on Saturday.
The Falcons now possess a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cedar Park Christian for a 1A Emerald Sound battle on Tuesday, April 21. South Whidbey will confront a Eagles team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Kiona-Benton (Benton City, WA). The Eagles record now stands at 6-6.
With the loss, Orcas Island moves to 6-5 on the season. The Vikings host La Conner (La Conner, WA) to confront the Braves in a 1B/2B Northwest battle on Tuesday, April 21. The Braves come into the battle with a record of 4-5. La Conner won 15-14 in their recent non-league battle against Muckleshoot Tribal (Auburn, WA)
