Elk County Catholic Crusaders (St. Marys, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cranberry Area Berries (Seneca, PA), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Crusaders now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host DuBois Central Catholic for a District 9 challenge on Wednesday, April 24. Elk County Catholic will battle a Cardinals squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Central Mountain (Mill Hall, PA). The Cardinals record now stands at 7-1.
