In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Moriah Vikings softball team scored a tight 6-5 win over the Lake Placid Bombers.

The Vikings (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY). The Hornets come into the Section 7 Champlain Valley I match with a 1-4 record. In their last match, Plattsburgh nipped AuSable Valley (Clintonville, NY), 16-6, in a league match.

In their next game, the Bombers confront the Indian Lake Central The Orange (Indian Lake, NY) in a Section 7 Mountain Valley match, on Friday, April 24. Lake Placid will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record.
