The Cox Falcons triumphed over the host Nansemond River Warriors softball squad by a count of 21-7 in Friday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Falcons play the Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, April 27. Cox will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Bruins enter the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 2-1 league loss to Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA).

The Warriors (6-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA). The Wildcats enter the Southeastern challenge with a 10-2 record. In their last challenge, Great Bridge overcame Landstown (Virginia Beach, VA), 4-3, in a non-league challenge.
