Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL), 7-0 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 14-4 record. They take the field next when they host Prairie Central for a Illini Prairie challenge on Thursday, April 28. Pontiac will battle a Hawks squad coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Lexington (Lexington, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 4-13.

With the loss, Illinois Valley Central falls to 11-4 on the campaign. The Grey ghosts travel to Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL) to battle the Saints in a Illini Prairie challenge on Wednesday, April 27.
