In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) baseball squad triumphed over the host Elkin Elks (Elkin, NC), by a final score of 12-2.

With the win, Starmount upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Rams host Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC) to encounter the Huskies in a challenge on Thursday, April 29. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.

With the defeat, Elkin falls to 0-1 on the season. The Elks travel to West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC) to battle the Blackhawks in a non-league test on Friday, April 30. The Blackhawks come into the test with a record of 0-1. West Wilkes lost 21-15 in their recent non-league test against South Iredell (Statesville, NC)
