Spectators at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Thunderbird Chiefs (Phoenix, AZ) and the host Saguaro Sabercats (Scottsdale, AZ), saw Thunderbird's baseball squad knock off Saguaro by a count of 8-5.

Coming up next, the Chiefs play the Sunnyslope Vikings (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league battle, on Monday, May 3. Thunderbird will attempt to move on its 12-3 season record.

The Sabercats now possess a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they host Chaparral for a non-league battle on Monday, May 3. Saguaro will play a Firebirds squad coming off a 15-1 non-league win over Arcadia (Phoenix, AZ). The Firebirds record now stands at 9-7.
